(1)laugh at一般指「嘲笑」,可能含有敵意,例如:
She didn't like to see so many people laughing at him.
她不喜歡看到那麼多人取笑他。
(2)laugh at不限於人,亦可針對事物,例如:
They laughed at Jack's queer idea.
他們嘲笑傑克的怪想法。
(3)受詞若是引人發笑的事情,laugh at便不含敵意,例如:
They laughed at my story.
聽了我的故事,他們都笑了。
(4)laugh at或可解作「付諸一笑」,此時表示「無懼」,例如:
We laughed at the difficulties.

Have it coming即deserve,指「應得」,有褒貶兩種用法,例如:
(a)I felt sorry about Jack's failing that course, but he had it coming to him.
傑克該門功課不及格,我很遺憾,但都是他自招的。
(b)Everybody said that she had it coming when she won the scholarship.
她拿到獎學金,大家都說是應得的。
