no one和none有何分別？no-one和no one是否一樣？

(1)no one和none有時可互換使用，二者最重要的分別在於：

no one後若不跟of片語，只可指人；
none在任何情下，既可指人，也可指物，例如：

Q﹕How many elephants did you see?
A﹕None.
Q﹕你看到幾隻大象？
A﹕一隻也沒有。
在上面對話中，由於大象不是人，故只可用none而不可用no one。

(2)但是，no one後若跟of片語，既可指人，也可指物，例如：

No one of you can solve the riddle.（指人）
你們沒有一個人能解開這個謎。
I read three books on this subject, no one of which was helpful.（指物）

關於此課題，我讀過3本書，但沒有一本有用。
(3)no-one和no one在英文中是並存的，例如：
No one of them understands the problem.
他們之中，沒一個懂得該問題。
No-one wished me a happy birthday.
沒有人祝我生日快樂。
