put off有哪些用法？

Put off有十幾種意思，現僅選其中常用的3種簡述：

(a)即postpone，或delay something to a later time，指「押後」，例如：

Never put off till tomorrow what may be done today.

今日可做之事，不要拖至明日。
(b)即discourage或displease，指「使泄氣」或「使不高興」，例如：

Don't be put off by his appearance. He's nice when you get to know him.

不要對他的外表反感，你熟悉他後，會覺得他為人很好。

(c)即make somebody lose interest in something or somebody ，指「令某人對某人或事失去興趣」，例如：

The accident put her off driving for life.
那次意外使她對駕駛再提不起興趣了。
