(1) for the moment指「目前」，例如：
I have nothing to do for the moment.
我現在無事可做。
(2) 又可指「暫時」，例如：
You may use her computer for the moment.

(3) for a moment指「片刻」，例如：
He was silent for a moment, weighing in his mind the pros and cons.
