Otherwise主要用法

Otherwise主要有以下幾種用法:

(1) 即or、or else或if not，指「否則」或「不然」，例如：

You'd better go now, otherwise you'll be late.

你最好現在就走，否則會遲到。
(2) 即apart from that，指「除此之外」，例如：

There were only a few pedestrians; otherwise the street was deserted.

除了幾個行人以外，街上空空蕩蕩。（A Dictionary of Commonly Used English）

(3) 即differently，指「不同」或「另外」，例如：

You know exactly what is going on, so don't try to pretend otherwise.

你清楚知道發生什麼事，所以不要裝作什麼都不知道。

(4) 即in some other way，指「用其他方法」，例如：

The door cannot be opened otherwise than with a key.

這門不用鎖匙打不開。
